| We
are committed to providing the best possible care.
If you have medical insurance, we can help you to receive
the maximum allowable benefits. In order to achieve these goals, we
ask for your assistance and understanding of our payment policy.
Payment is expected at the time services are rendered.
We accept cash, checks or major credit cards. We will happily assist
our patients to complete their insurance claim forms, but we emphasize
that:
Your insurance is a contract between you, your employer,
and your insurance company. Unless clearly stated, we are not a party
to that contract. We are behavioral health care providers, and therefore,
our relationships are with our patients - not with their insurance companies.
Our fees are generally considered "usual,
customary and reasonable" by most insurance companies, and therefore,
our fees should be covered up to the maximum allowance determined by
each insurance carrier. However, this statement does not apply to insurance
companies whose reimbursement is based on an arbitrary "schedule
of fees", which bears no relationship to the current standard cost
of care in this area.
Not all services are a covered benefit in all insurance contracts. Some
insurance companies arbitrarily select certain services they will not
cover.
