Daniel DaSilva, Ph.D. / Pediatric & Aviation Neuropsychologist
Dr. Dan DaSilva is a neuropsychologist with specialty in pediatrics and aviation neuropsychology. He has extensive experience in the evaluation of a wide range of pediatric cognitive disorders including those resulting from traumatic brain injury, cancer, infections, and genetic disorders. In addition, he performs comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of learning disabilities and attention disorders. The comprehensive evaluations include detailed assessment in the areas of intellectual functioning, memory, executive functions, and attention and processing. He works closely with parents and frequently consults with schools and child study teams regarding the findings.
Dr. DaSilva is on staff at Morristown Memorial Hospital in the Department of Psychiatry and at Overlook Hospital in Atlantic Healthcare’s Neurosciences Institute. Dr. DaSilva is also a consultant for the FAA and several major airlines performing neurocognitive evaluations of pilots and air traffic controllers, and he is a CogScreen – Aeromedical Edition administrator.
Dr. DaSilva is an adjunct professor at the Rutgers University Graduate School of Education where he teaches the biological bases of behavior. He is currently serving a four year term on New Jersey Psychological Association’s Council on Legislative Affairs and he is the Membership Chair of the Morris County Psychological Association. He is also a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology and the Aerospace Medical Association.
