| Dr. Dan DaSilva is
a neuropsychologist with a specialty in pediatrics. He has extensive
experience in the evaluation of a wide range of pediatric cognitive
disorders including those resulting from traumatic brain injury,
brain tumors, infections, and genetic disorders. In addition,
he performs comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations to assist
in the diagnosis and treatment of learning disabilities and attention
disorders. The comprehensive evaluations include detailed assessment
in the areas of intellectual functioning, memory, executive functions,
and attention and processing. He works closely with parents and
frequently consults with schools and child study teams regarding
the findings.
Dr. DaSilva is on staff at Morristown Memorial Hospital
in the Departments of Psychiatry and Pediatrics and provides pediatric
consultations for the trauma department. He is a consultant to
the Overlook Hospital sports concussion program. Dr. DaSilva is
also a consultant for several major airlines and performs neurocognitive
evaluations of both private and commercial pilots using the Cogscreen-AE
program and more traditional neuropsychological measures. He is
an adjunct professor at the Rutgers University Graduate School
of Education where he teaches the biological bases of behavior.
