| Kristina Morano is
a certified Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) and
holds certifications in both regular education and special education
for kindergarten through high school grades. She has worked as
a special education teacher at both the elementary and middle
school levels and currently is an LDTC in an elementary school.
As an LDTC, Mrs. Morano is trained to complete educational evaluations
in academic areas. She also works with teachers and parents on
implementing learning strategies at home and at school for students
to be successful and attain academic independence. Her focus is
primarily on students with Specific Learning Disabilities and
Attention Deficit Disorder.
Areas of expertise include:
· beginning reading skills, decoding, and fluency
· reading comprehension strategies
· acquiring basic math skills and math application
· learning, organization, and study skills
Mrs. Morano received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary/Special
Needs Education from Boston College and her Master’s Degree
in Special Education from Rutgers University.
