Josh Glawe, LCSW to present, “Generation Rx- Redefining the Adolescent Preferred Drug List”

On February 21, 2012, Josh Glawe, L.C.S.W. will present Generation Rx- Redefining the Adolescent Preferred Drug List” to the Morris Unit of the NASW.  Mr. Glawe’s presentation will focus on the prevalence of prescription and OTC drugs of abuse,  and he will address misconceptions and myths about abuse, and explore potential solutions.

Dr. Jeffrey Singer to present at Fairleigh Dickinson University

On Wednesday April 4, 2012, Dr. Jeffrey Singer will be presenting a colloquia to the
graduate program of Fairleigh Dickinson University’s School of Psychology. The
title of the talk will be, “Tough Acts to Follow: The Psycho-legal Rigors of Sex Offender
Evaluations in New Jersey.”

Dr. Jeffrey Singer to speak at Morris County Psychological Association

On Wednesday, May 9th, 2012, Dr. Jeffrey Singer will present, “Everything You Wanted To Know About Sex Offenders But Were Too Shocked to Ask* (*Almost)” to the joint meeting of the Morris County Psychological Association and Essex-Union County Association of Psychologists.

Dr. Daniel Watter recently spoke at the Florida Sex Therapy Institute

On January 28, 2011, Dr. Daniel N. Watter gave a lecture at the Florida Sex Therapy Institute on “The Impact of Loss on Sexual Function.”

New Social Skills Groups have started

Social Skills groups for children and teenagers are being held every other week and will continue throughout the school year.

MPG members elected to NJPA Executive Board

Congratulations to Dr. Francine Rosenberg and to Dr. Kenneth Freundlich on their recent election to the New Jersey Psychological Association Executive Board.

Dr. Rosenberg will serve as Member-at-Large and Dr. Freundlich will serve as the Association’s Treasurer.

Dr. Jeffrey Singer recently spoke to the Latino Psychological Association at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. The topic was, “Getting The Call Right: Guidelines and Standards for Diagnostic Accuracy in Sex Offender Civil Commitment With Latino Populations.”

Morris Psychological Group recently participated in National Memory Screening Day

Morris Psychological Group recently participated in National Memory Screening Day, which was sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.  The goal of the screening day is to promote early detection and intervention for those concerned about memory loss.
