The Morris Psychological Group offers a comprehensive Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders program, which includes diagnostic evaluation individual and group therapy, parent training and consultation with schools and other healthcare providers.

In cooperation with our Neuropsychology Department, children and adults are evaluated for underlying disorders of attention and concentration, as well as associated weaknesses in organization and problem solving. Our comprehensive evaluations not only assess for the presence of AD/HD, but also consider alternative explanations such as emotional and behavioral factors and/or other cognitive weaknesses, such as learning disabilities. As a result of the comprehensive evaluation, an individualized treatment plan is developed, and specific goals are identified.

Individual and group therapies focus on behavioral management and skill development. In addition to psychotherapy for the youngster with AD/HD, treatment typically involves parent education and training. Family sessions are also scheduled as needed.

The Morris Psychological Group also offers a full range of consultation services including consultation with physicians, other treating clinicians, teachers, and child study teams.
